Bullshit Jobs: A Theory is a 2018 book by David Graeber.
Summary
An anthropologist argues that a large share of modern jobs are, by their holders' own admission, pointless. Graeber sorts them into flunkies, goons, duct-tapers, box-tickers and taskmasters. He explores the moral and psychological toll of pretending that meaningless work matters. It covers institutional bullshit, a different use of the word but a closely related phenomenon.
