My wiki:General disclaimer
Bullshitopedia is a collaboratively maintained reference to deceptive, false, misleading, and unsupported claims, together with the evidence that debunks them. It is useful, but it is not a substitute for professional advice, and it is not infallible. Read this page alongside our Privacy Policy.
General disclaimer
Bullshitopedia is edited and reviewed by people, following a published sourcing standard, but no entry is guaranteed to be complete, current, or error-free. Content is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Entries may be revised, corrected, or updated at any time as new evidence comes to light; the current version and the full revision history are always the most reliable record of what an entry says and when it changed.
Not professional advice
Nothing on Bullshitopedia is legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Entries explain what a claim asserted, whether the available evidence supports it, and where to verify that evidence — they are not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional about your own situation.
Verdicts are editorial conclusions, not legal findings
Evidence statuses — false, misleading, unsupported, manipulated media, outdated, disputed, corrected, and similar — reflect Bullshitopedia's editorial assessment of the evidence available at the time of publication. They are not a court ruling, a regulatory finding, or a legal determination that any person or organization committed fraud, defamation, or any other violation of law.
We evaluate claims, not people
Every entry is about a specific, stated claim — not about the character, honesty, or reputation of the person or organization who made or spread it. Being named in an entry as the originator or amplifier of a claim is not an accusation of wrongdoing, and should not be read as one. Named subjects may request a correction at any time; see "Corrections and the right of reply" below.
Corrections and the right of reply
We take accuracy seriously. Anyone who believes an entry is inaccurate, unsourced, or unfair — including the subject of a claim — may contact us to request a correction. We review sourcing on every request. Because the historical record of what was claimed and when is itself part of what Bullshitopedia exists to preserve, corrections are made transparently, through the same public edit history as any other change, rather than by silently deleting what happened.
Third-party links and sources
Entries link to external sources — news reporting, official records, court documents, fact-checking organizations, Wikipedia articles, and similar material — as evidence for the claims we make. We do not control those sites, cannot guarantee their continued availability or accuracy, and linking to a source does not mean we endorse everything else on that site. Where a link is broken or a source has changed, the entry's evidence status may be marked outdated or unverified pending review.
No affiliation with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation
Bullshitopedia is intentionally styled as the mirror image of an encyclopedia, and we link to Wikipedia articles as evidence where useful — but Bullshitopedia is an independent project, operated by The Bullshitopedia Foundation. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation, Wikipedia, or any of their trademarks.
The role of AI
Automated tools may assist with triage, transcription, or translation. They do not determine a verdict. Every published evidence status and conclusion is reviewed and approved by a human editor before it goes live.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Bullshitopedia Foundation, its contributors, and its editors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, information found on this site. Use Bullshitopedia as a starting point for verification, not as the final word — the sources we cite are there so you can check them yourself. 'Last updated: 23 September 2026.
